Dr. Akshar Patel is a Consultant Surgical Oncologist with a focused practice in Head & Neck Surgical Oncology, including oral cavity, laryngeal and hypopharyngeal cancers, thyroid and parathyroid disorders, and salivary gland tumours.
With 7+ years of clinical experience, his work involves evaluating cancer extent, planning oncological surgery and managing patients through the perioperative period. He also works as part of a multidisciplinary cancer team when treatment involves radiation oncology, medical oncology, pathology, radiology or rehabilitation.
His surgical practice includes cancer resections, neck dissections, thyroid and parathyroid surgery, salivary gland surgery and complex head and neck procedures requiring reconstruction.
